ADDITIONAL COSTS FOR DIFFERENT FRAME STYLES
Some frame styles require different lens specifications or additional fitting work, which is reflected in the price. Half Rim frames have a £15 supplement because we recommend 1.6 index lenses to help reduce the chance of chipping around the edges. Rimless frames have a £25 supplement for stronger 1.6 or 1.67 lenses.
These frames also require additional time for drilling and assembling the mounts carefully. The extra charge reflects both the lens specification and the fitting work involved, helping us achieve the quality of finish we expect.
EXTRA CHARGES FOR SPECIALIST FRAME TYPES
Wrapped sunglasses require specific tooling and take additional time to assemble, so there is a £12 supplement for this frame style. Full rim frames do not carry an additional charge. These costs reflect the different requirements involved when preparing and fitting certain frame types.
Our standard prices are based on 1.5 index lenses, while alternative options can be discussed if your prescription or chosen frame requires them.
